Square Dance returns to Bryant Park! Come kick up your heels to the red hot sounds of Thunder Dog from Boston! This year’s line-up is Jenny Monfore and Tyson Graham (fiddle), Joel Wennerstrom (banjo), Adam Nutbey (guitar) and Danny Birnbaum (bass). Dave Harvey will lead the dance. All dances are taught and easy-to-learn, so all are welcome regardless of age level or experience! This is a DANCE PARTY!
Dust off your boots and swing on down to midtown’s iconic hoedown! Celebrate the end of summer with free western-themed activities all night long.
The program kicks off at 6 PM with a line dancing class and continues at 7:15 PM with a square dance session. Sashay around the lawn and learn to lasso at a trick roping station with lassoing lessons, create some frontier flair at craft stations, and even saddle up to ride a mechanical bull!
Country attire is encouraged. Need to accessorize? Bandanas will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
Country-curated bites by Hester Street Fair will be available for purchase, along with beer and wine by Stout NYC.
